Community Involvement
Glacier Electric strives to be not only an electricity provider, but also a cornerstone of the community. Every time GEC makes an investment in the community we are investing in our own neighbors, family, and friends. Each year Glacier Electric invests in our community through monetary donations, sponsorships, and donated equipment and labor.
Lewis and Clark Festival
Each year during the Lewis and Clark Festival in Cut Bank, GEC participates in the parade, the chili cook-off, and mans an informational booth for the community. GEC board members and employees work the booth where we hand out CFL light bulbs, conservation tips, information about cooperative programs, and answer questions from our members.
North American Indian Days
Glacier Electric supports NAID each year by donating labor and materials to help prepare the site for the event. By setting poles, extending lines, and updating equipment as needed GEC helps ensure that the event will be safe and well lit. GEC also donates electrical service during the week of the event.
